Salamagundi was a favorite pirate food. Below you will find two of the most popular recipes for making salamagundi. Now, plan a pirate banquet. Determine how large your crew will be and how much salamagundi you will need. Design and send out invitations. Decide how the table needs to be set before your banquet can begin - milk crackers usually accompanied the salamagundi.
For either recipe, you will need:
Recipe #1: fish, crab, wine, spices, anchovies, cabbage, hard-boiled eggs, 8oz oil and vinegar dressing
Recipe #2: beef, pigeons, wine, spices, fruit or cabbage, hard boiled eggs, onions
